Founder and editor

I built Healthy Farang because Thailand changes the health decision.

Good advice still has to survive local air, heat, food systems, buying routes, providers, language, and what you can actually sustain here.

I moved from technology and systems work into health optimization because I needed better answers for my own energy, recovery, focus, and resilience. Living in Chiang Mai made the gap between generic advice and practical reality impossible to ignore.

Global advice does not arrive with a Thailand instruction manual

A product can be excellent and still be a poor choice if it is impossible to source, expensive to import, unsupported locally, or solving the wrong problem. A place can look polished online and still have unclear access, pricing, or English support. A “healthy” food can fall apart when you ask about oils, sugar, sourcing, packaging, and consistency.

Healthy Farang exists to close that gap. I use what I can, visit what I can, speak directly with the people behind products and services, listen to people who live here, and review the research needed to make a responsible call.

I am not the proof for every claim

My experience is useful when I actually used the product, visited the place, led the experience, or had the conversation. It does not turn every supplier statement or research finding into a firsthand fact. That is why pages say what happened: Jason used it, Supplier confirmed, Community reported, or Research reviewed.

The goal is not to sound certain. The goal is to give you enough precise information to make a better decision and know what to verify next.

What you can expect

A useful verdict, the evidence behind it, and a real next action

01

Start with the decision

What are you trying to improve, buy, book, compare, avoid, or understand?

02

Separate the evidence

Firsthand use, direct source facts, community experience, and research do different jobs.

03

Make the call

Recommended, best for, only if, promising but unverified, or not worth it.

04

Keep it current

Prices, availability, providers, and Thailand buying routes are checked and dated when they matter.

How the site is funded

Recommendations should earn trust before they earn commission

Some links and referrals pay Healthy Farang. The relationship and relevant economics are disclosed on the page. A commission does not make a poor fit better.

Medical boundary

Education and decision support are not diagnosis

Healthy Farang can compare routes, organize questions, and identify missing information. Qualified clinicians diagnose, prescribe, and treat.

Use the site, then tell me where the map is wrong or incomplete.

Corrections, firsthand local details, and strong product or place suggestions make Healthy Farang more useful for everyone navigating Thailand.
